Bluesman extraordinaire Coco Montoya heads out on a solo tour this year, playing select cities across the country following the release of his latest album Writing On The Wall! Known as a former member of the legendary blues outfit John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers, the guitar virtuoso and soulful vocalist is a luminary in the blues world.
Mentored by Albert Collins and John Mayall, Montoya's self-taught, left-handed mastery of the guitar and profound vocals have consistently placed him at the forefront of the genre since his 1995 debut solo album, which earned him accolades such as the Blues Music Award for Best New Artist. His new album Writing On The Wall, released in 2023 by Alligator Records, showcases Montoya's continually unmatched talent, backed by his tight band. He's a true phenom to experience live.
