Feast your eyes and ears on Ballet Palm Beach's year end favorite The Nutcracker Ballet. Brought to dazzling life by the company's world class dancers, classic choreography and Tchaikovsky's soaring, spine-tingling score, the annual Nutcracker production has become a local tradition for fans young and old alike. Overseen by founder Colleen Smith, Ballet Palm Beach has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 2001, fostering budding talent in its students and principal dancers.
One snowy Christmas Eve, at a great townhouse where a party is in full swing, local magician Herr Drosselmeyer arrives with gifts for the children, including a wooden nutcracker for Marie, the oldest child. When the clock strikes twelve an adventure begins and the Nutcracker comes to life, leading our heroine on a grand coming of age journey into adulthood and romance. Together with her Nutcracker Prince she travels to another magical world, gets caught up in war between mice and tin soldiers, and is welcomed in the enchanted Land of Sweets where a festival awaits.
